Hi, I’m Jules.
I’m a London-based writer and marketing consultant. I’ve been fascinated with travel since I was little, and I spend two to three months every year travelling.
My trips used to be bursting at the seams with activities, seeing as much as possible within a relatively short time frame. Over time, my travel style has changed.
I now try to be a bit more thoughtful. Curious and adventurous. I try to explore places and experiences out of my comfort zone, even (and especially) when they’re odd or strange. And I try my best to ensure I contribute responsibly to the places I visit, rather than take away.
My aim is to learn how people think, live and work around the world. To explore the ways travellers can enrich the communities they visit, as well as their own.
I first started this website because my friends ask a lot of questions about my travels, and a lot of information was getting lost in WhatsApp messages, Instagram DMs and emails. But I hope that one day, this website will be more than travel tips, but rather something to engage or inspire thoughtful travel, regardless of location.
If you’d like to get in touch, ask a question or work together, drop me a line on hello@stubborntravel.com. And in the meantime, happy travels.
Jules x
